Falls County Busted Booking Records
One arrest in Falls County can leave a paper trail in several offices at once. The arresting agency keeps its own incident report. The jail holds custody records. Those cover booking, transfer, release, and bond details. Court files come later, and they live with the County Clerk or District Clerk. A jail entry only shows that someone was booked. The court file tells you more. That is where you learn whether a charge was filed, changed, dismissed, or resolved.
A booking photo is just an image tied to an intake event. Falls County has not posted a verified online roster or any written policy on publishing photos. So a third-party page is not the county roster. Not every photo the jail holds gets posted anywhere. Start with the Falls County Sheriff’s Office, which names the sheriff and promotes Sheriff Connect. The same Sheriff’s Office page also lists office contact information and the Sheriff Connect announcement.
The county page names the sheriff’s channel, and that is about all it does. It offers no public booking-photo gallery and no searchable roster results.
What Falls County Booking Records Show
Be specific when you ask for a record. A name alone often fails. Common names pull up too many matches. Add a booking date or date range when you can. An arresting agency, booking number, incident number, or cause number also helps narrow the search. The Sheriff’s custodian can tell you what jail material exists and whether a given item can be released. The fields listed here work as request vocabulary drawn from county-record practice and the state retention schedule. None of it promises that every field is available online.
| Record field | What it can identify |
|---|---|
| Name and aliases | The identity as maintained in the booking record. |
| Booking number and time | The intake event and a more precise way to locate it. |
| Arresting agency | Whether the Sheriff, Marlin, Rosebud, Lott, or another agency originated the arrest. |
| Charge text at booking | The charge recorded at intake, not a court finding. |
| Bond and release details | Bond type, a release field, or transfer information when maintained and releasable. |
| Court or cause number | The bridge to the clerk’s docket and later disposition. |
| Booking photograph | An image record that may require a direct release determination by the custodian. |
Under the Texas Local Schedule PS, booking-in and booking-out forms, commitment details, transfers, and releases all count as incarceration records. Mug-shot photographs fall under offense-investigation record series. Keep in mind that this is a retention rule. It does not obligate anyone to display a photo on the Internet.
- Booking
- Jail intake and the related custody record after an arrest or commitment.
- Bond
- A court-set condition or amount that can affect release while a case remains pending.
- Disposition
- The court’s recorded outcome, such as a dismissal, acquittal, conviction, or another result.
- Expunction
- A Texas court process that can require destruction or restriction of qualifying records under state law.
Request Falls County Booking Photos
No official public roster URL could be located. That makes a written request the dependable path. The Falls County public-information form allows requests by e-mail, mail, or in person through the county clerk contact. Ask for material that already exists. Do not ask the county to investigate or decide anything. For a jail photo, name the Falls County Sheriff’s Office as the likely custodian. Ask the county to route the request or point to the right office if needed.
- Give the full name, a booking or arrest date range, and the arresting agency if known.
- Ask separately for the releasable booking record, booking photograph, bond or release record, and any cause number maintained.
- Send the request through Falls County’s Public Information Request route at countyclerk@co.falls.tx.us, by mail to P.O. Box 458, Marlin, TX 76661, or in person at 125 Bridge Street, Room 202.
- Ask for a cost estimate if a Sheriff-held photo or a larger set of records is responsive, then keep the response with the request details.
- For an arrest report made by Marlin, Rosebud, or Lott police, make a separate request to the originating agency as well.
Important: A request can be clarified, routed, estimated, or withheld under an exception, so it never guarantees release of a particular photograph.
The County Clerk posts a $5 search fee for a clerk or deputy, $1 per page for copies, and $5 certification plus $1 per page for certified copies. Those are clerk-record charges, not a Sheriff booking-photo fee. Texas public-information guidance asks for prompt production in a reasonable time, with communication if a delay is necessary. The record custodian decides what responsive material exists. An old web listing does not decide it. For the local court-record route, search fees, and available indexes, the Falls County Clerk page is the place to look.
Clerk search fees cover clerk records only. A jail-held booking image may carry its own public-information cost estimate.
Texas Rules for Busted Mugshots
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 builds the Public Information Act. That is the framework for asking a government body to inspect or copy existing records. Public availability does not force every record onto a web page. Falls County can hold a record without running a searchable photo gallery. A proper request may answer questions that a broad Internet search cannot.
Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 109 sets accuracy, dispute, and removal or correction rules for certain covered publishers of criminal or juvenile record information. Think of it as an anti-pay-to-remove and accuracy law within its scope. It does not wipe every arrest photo after release or dismissal. When accuracy is the issue, read the current statute and pursue the court disposition.
RecentlyBooked and Mugshots.com each run their own free correction or removal processes. Those policies belong to the publishers, not the county, and they can change. Start with the originating record, the court disposition, and the publisher’s stated free process. Never pay anyone who promises to erase a record or a search result. Expunction and nondisclosure questions go to the court and a qualified Texas legal professional, not a private removal middleman.
Retention schedules in Texas assign different periods to different records. Booking-in and booking-out material carries a minimum tied to release or transfer, while offense-investigation photographs follow their own classification-based series. The Texas Local Schedule PS helps explain why underlying records and web visibility never share one expiration date. For statutory language, rely on the current Chapter 109 text rather than a third-party summary.
The law page sits at the state level. It makes no Falls County promise that a busted mugshot stays posted, returns, or comes down on any set date.
Find Falls County Busted Arrests
Match the search tool to where the person actually is. Someone booked hours ago is probably still at the county jail. A person released days later may only exist in a booking record and a court file. Prison sentences move into the TDCJ system. Federal and immigration cases sit with federal custodians. Going to the right holder first saves time and gets an answer the source can actually back up.
- Contact the Falls County Sheriff or jail for a current-custody question, using the full legal name and known booking date.
- Check the live Sheriff Connect interface if available, and record whether it identifies current custody, a booking date, or a release field.
- Submit a narrow written request when the official contact or app does not answer the booking-record or photograph question.
- Check the County Clerk or District Clerk once a cause number or court filing exists, because the court file supplies the disposition.
- Use the TDCJ, BOP, or ICE locator only when the person’s custody has moved into that separate state, federal, or immigration system.
Falls County keeps a thin public layer online, even with its new jail-management system. KXXV reported that Sheriff Jason Campbell pitched it as a way to streamline booking, medical intake, and classification. Worth another look at the official site and app, then. Still, none of that guarantees a public web roster. Nor does it promise a same-day feed or any online booking photo policy for the county.
Note: A booking date, an app refresh time, and proof of current custody are three different facts.
Where Falls County Mugshots Appear
Start with official county channels when you need a firm answer on custody or a record. Unofficial sites can help you nail down a spelling, a date, or an agency. They can also be stale, incomplete, or purely historical. None of them is the Falls County roster. No verified local page exists here for Busted Newspaper, Texas Arrests.org, or Mugshots.zone, so none is linked.
| Channel | Photo status | Custody or record scope | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Falls County Sheriff and jail | No verified public photo interface | Current county custody and jail-held booking records | Telephone contact or written request |
| Sheriff Connect | Not documented by the official page | App information must be labeled from its live record | Recheck the current app interface |
| County and District Clerks | Not a booking-photo source | Filed court records and dispositions | Clerk indexes, dockets, or request |
| TDCJ | Public information service says no photos | Sentenced state-prison custody | Official offender search |
| RecentlyBooked Falls | May show an image on detail pages | Unofficial rolling 30-day index | Secondary research lead only |
| Mugshots.com Falls archive | Historic pages may vary | Unofficial historical index with visible years through 2020 | Secondary archive only |
| KXXV Falls County | Event-specific editorial use only | Local crime and court reporting | Story-driven local coverage |
A fresh-looking third-party page never proves someone is still in custody. Call the jail to confirm a release, a transfer, or a current hold. Archives are great for context. They are useless for a current-arrest answer.
See Mugshots in the News for how local outlets cover these events and how to trace a reported arrest into an official record.
The RecentlyBooked Falls page is an unofficial comparison source. It is not an official county roster.
A booking entry with an image tells you very little on its own. Rolling lists come and go. A photo can stay up long after a person has walked out the door. Treat the picture as a moment in time, not a status report.
Falls County Jail Roster Limits
Falls County does not publish a browsable jail roster. There is no search form, no photo rules, and no stated update schedule. No multi-day booking feed from the Sheriff's office is available either. So any posting time or removal window you might read about elsewhere would simply be made up.
For live custody questions, call the Sheriff's main line at 254-883-1431 and have the booking date or date range ready. The Sheriff page also lists 254-803-1000. The county contact directory shows conflicting jail numbers, and Rosebud Police publishes 254-803-2912 as "Falls City Booking." These are leads, not guarantees. Confirm any booking number with the jail before you count on it.
Sheriff Connect is the county's documented app for this. If a lookup returns a result, read it closely. The word "inmate" means one thing. A release date means another. And a missing release field settles nothing.
Check the court file: Charges on a booking record rarely tell the whole story. The clerk's docket is where the case actually takes shape.
Falls County Booking Court Records
Once a case is filed, the clerks take over. The County Clerk sits at 125 Bridge Street, Room 202, in Marlin. That office keeps the local criminal docket and index. The District Clerk works one floor up, in Room 301. That desk handles district-level criminal records and expunction filings. Texas has no single statewide portal for every local case, so a clerk request or a local docket search is often the only way forward, even when a name has already hit the news.
Hours matter here. The County Clerk is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m., plus Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The District Clerk runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. These are court-office hours, not jail hours. They work best once you have a cause number or a case date in hand.
No hourly arraignment schedule tied to the jail is published for Falls County. When you reach the courthouse, ask separately for the booking record, bond record, release record, and cause number. That paper trail lets the court file pick up right where the jail record stops.
Falls County State Prison Search
State prison and county jail are two different worlds. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice offender search tracks people already sentenced to state custody. It tells you where someone is held, the offense, the county of conviction, and a projected release date. What it does not give is photographs. TDCJ keeps those out of public view. So a hit there answers a status question, not a booking-photo one.
Marlin is home to the TDCJ Marlin Unit. That is a state facility. It has no connection to county bookings. Someone can sit in the county jail, get transferred, or walk free without ever drawing a state sentence, so an empty TDCJ result proves nothing about a Falls County arrest.
Federal and immigration cases run through their own systems. For a federal prisoner, try the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator. For someone in immigration custody, there is the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Neither one will produce a Falls County booking image, and neither shows whether the county jail is holding a federal or immigration detainee.
Reach for the TDCJ search only once the county booking and court record point toward a state sentence.
TDCJ runs its own public custody search. That tool offers no booking photo and does not replace the Falls County court record.
Falls County Booking Status Paths
Custody labels matter more than people expect. A booking can stay on the books after the jail stay ends. A court case can drag on long after both. Match your question to the right source in the table, then verify the latest status with the agency that actually holds it.
| Status | Best source | What it can confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Just booked or in county custody | Falls County Sheriff or jail | Whether the jail confirms a present hold and any releasable booking record. |
| Released or transferred | Jail record and clerk file | A release or transfer record and the court case that may remain pending. |
| Filed local case | County Clerk or District Clerk | Docket activity and the disposition when entered. |
| Sentenced state-prison custody | TDCJ | State-prison status and TDCJ location information. |
| Federal or ICE custody | BOP or ICE locator | The separate federal or immigration status supported by that system. |
Note: A third-party booking date can frame a records request, but only the holding agency can issue the custody label that counts.
Falls County Busted Mugshots by City
Marlin, Rosebud, and Lott each have their own city route. No city in Falls County publishes an official booking feed or photo roster. That is the practical reality for all three. Once an arrest moves into county custody, the Falls County jail and the Sheriff become the booking-record path. The city police department may still keep the original arrest report. For how a case ends up, the clerk stays the source of record.
- Marlin Busted Mugshots: county-seat policing, a city directory contact lead, and local reporting without a city-run blotter.
- Rosebud Busted Mugshots: the official police contact, Falls City Booking lead, and Silent Whisper tip boundary.
- Lott Busted Mugshots: a secondary police-directory lead and the county fallback where no city booking layer was found.
These routes sort out which agency made the arrest. A city news story, an app display, or a third-party index can hint at what happened, but none of them confirms where a person sits tonight.
